B) The ‘DISTANCE LEARNING’ approach:
Course Code: PTC – DL (Accredited since 2002)
Although
we have had many people from the US and all over Europe complete our
Attendance course we wanted to make this professional training
available to those unable to afford the time or money to travel to the
Academy several times in a year. After much consideration we developed
a wonderful system where 65% of the course could be easily taught
and assimilated at a distance (see ‘virtual classroom’ below),
leaving the practical skills to be acquired in just 1attendance
session of 7 days. This would then provide an affordable education
of the highest standard for those for whom the time away and
travelling (and their associated costs) might otherwise provide a
problem. More than 50% of our students now take this option.
Virtual Classroom
~ our
comprehensive course materials (approximately 60 hours of live
audio recordings of the entire classroom sessions plus
extremely comprehensive notes) plus ongoing guidance and
appraisal ensure that you are able to properly assimilate the
information and get all your questions answered as you progress. With
the notes and audio
programme
it’s as though you were in the classroom but you can press pause and
take a break at any time you wish. You can make a note of any queries
and get them answered at your leisure through your personal tutor over
the phone or email.

How do I decide which format is best for me?
Only you can decide based on your personal circumstances as each
approach has its own benefits:
BENEFITS OF THE ATTENDANCE APPROACH
1)
Some may find it easier to focus
on the course and assimilate the knowledge by being away from the
home.
2)
Some people like the personal contact and social aspects of
attending.
3)
Some prefer to be able to ask questions live during the
teaching session rather than waiting to email or call in with
questions.
BENEFITS OF THE DISTANCE LEARNING APPROACH
On the other hand, the distance learning approach offers other
benefits:
1) flexibility
- studying entirely at your own pace;
2) repeat the same session as many times as you like
by ‘re-listening’ to a part of the programme;
3) much reduced accommodation and travel costs,
4) much reduced time spent away from family or work.

What
Other Training Courses are available?

In a Nutshell ~
The
Feng Shui Academy offers 4 certificated training courses. The first
of these is a fundamental pre-requisite are Internationally Accredited
by the Feng Shui Society and was the first to be so in the UK. No accreditation
currently exists for courses 2 and 3 and so these are certificated
by The Feng Shui Academy itself. The courses are:
1) Accredited
‘Bright New Future’
,
(various locations or home study).
2)
Additionally,
are
offered as ‘one-offs’, some of which are open to those with no
knowledge of Feng Shui.
